nBanks gets to know AFMP 2023

Moments of knowledge sharing, networking, and promotion of financial literacy mark the team's agenda.

Moments of knowledge sharing, networking, and promotion of financial literacy mark the team's agenda.

The last fortnight at nBanks was filled with moments of knowledge sharing, networking, and promotion of financial literacy. Specifically, from the accounting sector, youth associations, and academia, where the country's next managers and financiers are found, it made clear its interest not only in the present but also in the future of the sector. It closely observed the challenges and acted as an agent in demystifying Artificial Intelligence and its applications to the treasury and financial management of organizations, from the simplest to the most complex.

Get a first-hand look at one of these moments:

Nov 12 - 📊  Presentation of the Portuguese Municipalities Financial Yearbook 2023 🤝

The Order of Certified Accountants and the Research Center in Accounting and Taxation of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave joined forces to present the Portuguese Municipalities Financial Yearbook 2023. nBanks was one of the attentive listeners present at the António Domingues de Azevedo Auditorium in Lisbon and learned first-hand about the topics discussed.

“This event was a privileged opportunity to discuss central themes of public management, with emphasis on the new Local Finance Law (...) Our presence reaffirms nBanks' commitment to local authorities, a sector where we believe digital innovation can generate transformative impacts,” says Miguel Silva, Head of Sales at the company. He highlights the debate, around visions and challenges, that marked the event. The participation of distinguished specialists and decision-makers, including the mayors of Barcelos, Marco de Canaveses, and Sintra, is emphasized.

“We remain committed to working side by side with municipalities, supporting them on the path of digital transformation and in building solutions that meet the demands of the future.” It is, therefore, the “important reflection on the future of municipal financial management” brought by the mayor of Aveiro that captivates the team's attention, as its solution, promising to optimize the routine of financial managers, is a response to the need for simplification and automation of processes in evidence.

The nBanks team leaves the event aware that Open Banking, increasingly a relevant topic in the banking ecosystem, combined with Financial AI, is the solution to the problems and other challenges identified during the round table. In fact, “Through our (current) platform, we (already) offer tools that optimize financial and treasury management, helping municipal councils achieve greater efficiency and productivity in their daily processes,” such as identifying originators, creating cash-flow maps, automatic categorization of movements, portfolio management via solutions specifically designed for accountants and auditors, and even integration with Banco de Portugal, Tax Authority.
