Rio Ave women's team now wears the nBanks t-shirt

Rio Ave Futebol Clube joins nBanks, the new sponsor of the main women's team

Rio Ave Futebol Clube joins nBanks, the new sponsor of the main women's team, to drive quality results on and off the field. In goal or in the banking system, they promise to break with the traditional network, taking possession of the “ball in play” and heading for the “goal”.

The handshake between Orlando Costa, Co-Founder and CEO of nBanks, and Maria Alexandrina Costa Cruz, President of Rio Ave FC, accompanied by Diogo Silva, SAD Administrator, marked, on September 27, a propitious partnership between the Porto-based fintech and the Vila do Conde football club.

The businessman, who is also a former coach and now heads the Portuguese company leading the transformation of the traditional banking system paradigm through digital transition, was particularly happy with the commitment.  He joyfully raises the green and white T-shirt, now with a new emblem emblazoned on the chest, which will also be seen at the Rio Ave FC Sports Complex through physical supports.

“It is with immense pride and enthusiasm that nBanks joins your team as an official sponsor. We don't just want to be a logo on Rio Ave FC jerseys, but an active partner that helps the Club, and specifically the main women's team, to achieve – and even surpass – its goals”. Orlando Costa, CEO  nBanks

The message was endorsed by the Vila do Conde leader who took office in July of last year, and who was the first woman to lead a Main League club, marking the history of Portuguese football. Friends tell Notícias Magazine that it was with her father, a military man, that she “learned that a handshake is worth more than a contract” and, therefore, the expectations based on this solemn moment are immediately recognized.

“The partnership we are signing today with nBanks fills us with particular pride. It is a very successful company in its area of activity, a new partner that we welcome with great satisfaction” Alexandrina Cruz, President of Rio Ave FC

Orlando Costa takes the opportunity to explain the company's mission, which seeks to aggregate “in a single financial spot, in an impartial, transparent, simple and effective way, all the client's banking data”, regardless of the geographical region or the bank that hosts them, allowing them to “consult their balances in real time”, but also “integrate and communicate with their accountant and, furthermore, incorporate their business and tax agenda”.  This aggregation into a single vision, “with an eye on the future”, does not neglect social concerns, which they see as a responsibility and, therefore, “it made perfect sense” to establish a connection with the national champions of the 3rd division of Portuguese women's football, also known for their ability to overcome challenges:

Throughout our trajectory as a fintech company, we have always been guided by values such as constant growth, overcoming challenges, equal opportunities, and meritocracy. We see in Rio Ave FC an example of unity, determination, and resilience, qualities that also define us as a company”. Orlando Costa, CEO  nBanks

For Alexandrina, it is also “with great pleasure that we note the interest that nBanks has shown in specifically supporting Rio Ave FC's women's football, with the expectation that this connection will strengthen”. It should be remembered that the President had said, months earlier, when taking office, that “(we women) are one more piece that wants to work and contribute to the Club's success”, once again endorsing the impact of this support.

The commitment also extends to the effort to ensure that the Business Management Software company remains “close to the team, but also to the club”, namely through “some planned actions of clarification on financial literacy for athletes, employees, staff, and directors”, explains in a statement, Rio Ave FC.  Thus, the synergy and potential of the close relationship between the entities involved are highlighted, with wishes for much success for the future of both parties.
